Hwang, to the Cypress Tennis Club. He heard
about our club from existing members. Moses
plays at a 3.5 level and is available to play on
weekdays. He prefers to play doubles so please
contact him to set up a match if you are not already
playing mid-week with him.

Dues Reminder:
For those of you who have not renewed your
2008/2009 dues yet, please note that they will become
delinquent the first of August. At that time
your name will be removed from the roster, and
newsletter distributions will cease and challenge
matches will no longer be valid. We know that
none of you would like to miss out on another year
of fun so please download a renewal application
and send in. If you have already renewed, thank
you for your prompt response. Individual dues are
$25 per year; family dues are only $35.
Cypress Community Festival:
Once again we will be setting up a Cypress Tennis
Club booth at the 28th Annual Cypress Community
Festival. It will be held on Saturday, July 26, from
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For those of you who have
never attended the festival, it is a great time. It begins
with a Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at 7:00 a.m.
followed by a 5k & 10k Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m. The
festival consists of a Chili Cook-Off (could it possibly
beat CTC’s own chili cook-off??), Family
Games, Entertainment, Food Booths, Chamber
Business Expo, Children’s Rides and Arts & Crafts.
The festival is held at Oak Knoll Park (5700 Orange
Ave). We will be looking for members again
this year to help out. We will need a few people to
set up the booth on Friday night and others to take
down the booth on Saturday evening. We are also
looking for people to work in the booth for one-hour
shifts (two members per shift). It’s easy and fun
and the rest of the day is yours to enjoy the festival.
